📖 Verse Of The Day

🧠 Devotion
We already talked about how Esther never mentions God by name — yet His presence fills every part of her story.
The Song of Solomon does the same thing, but in a completely different way.
This book is basically an ancient love poem. It’s romantic, poetic, and sometimes surprising to see in the Bible. There are no sermons, no miracles, no direct mentions of God. But that’s what makes it so powerful.
The Song of Solomon shows what real love looks like when it’s lived the way God designed it. The couple in the story aren’t chasing temporary attraction or empty emotion. Their love is loyal, patient, and joyful. It’s full of admiration and commitment. That kind of love doesn’t pull you away from God — it reveals His heart.
When you slow down and read it carefully, the entire book reflects God’s design for love. From the start of Scripture, in Genesis 2:24, God said a man and woman would “become one flesh.” The Song of Solomon celebrates that same union — a love that’s personal, passionate, and pure.
Even though God’s name never appears, His character is everywhere. The tenderness of their words, the delight in one another, the beauty of faithfulness — all of it points back to the truth that God is love (1 John 4:8).
It’s also a glimpse of something bigger. The bride and groom’s relationship mirrors the love between Christ and His Church. In Ephesians 5:25, Paul writes, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” That kind of love — selfless, faithful, and pure — is exactly what the Song of Solomon points toward.
So why does it matter that God’s name isn’t mentioned? Because it reminds us that His presence isn’t limited to the places where His name is said out loud. He’s in the quiet moments of devotion, the purity of real love, and the faithfulness that lasts.
When life feels quiet and you can’t see or hear God directly, remember the Song of Solomon. God may not speak on the surface, but His love is written all over the story.
Even without saying His name, He’s still there — and His love still speaks.

🙏 Prayer (Guided by ACTS)
When you’re not sure how to pray, A.C.T.S. gives you a simple path to follow: Adore, Confess, Thank, and Ask.
Adoration: God, You are love itself. Every pure and lasting love begins with You.
Confession: Forgive me for chasing love without first seeking You, the One my heart was made for.
Thanksgiving: Thank you for loving me faithfully and showing me what real love looks like.
Supplication: Teach me to love like You do — patient, pure and rooted in your truth.
In Jesus name, Amen
