📖 Verse Of The Day

🧠 Devotion

Recently, people online began claiming to know the exact day the rapture would happen. Videos spread across social media. Some people grew afraid. Others dismissed it. Many wondered what to believe.

But Scripture already gives us the answer. In Matthew 24:36, Jesus said, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Those words are not vague. They are absolute. No one knows. Not even the angels. Not even Jesus Himself during His time on earth.

That truth alone should end every prediction. When someone claims to know what Jesus said no one can know, they are speaking in direct contradiction to Him. In fact, only a few verses later, Jesus said, “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” (Matthew 24:42). The emphasis is clear. Our role is not to predict, but to stay prepared.

The Apostle Paul echoed the same truth in 1 Thessalonians 5:2: “For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.” A thief never sends a warning or sets a date. That is what makes the moment unexpected. God designed it that way so that His people would live in a constant state of faithfulness, not fear or speculation.

The book of Revelation gives us many details about what will happen, but it does not give us when. That is not an oversight. It is intentional. God does not want His people to live by countdowns. He wants them to live by conviction. If we knew the exact day, many would wait until the last minute to turn to Him. But because we do not know, we are called to walk closely with Him daily.

When you see predictions or supposed “prophecies” online, measure them against Scripture. If Jesus said no one knows, then no one knows. It is that simple. The Bible never contradicts itself, and truth does not change with trending videos.

Being ready for the rapture is not about decoding signs or setting dates. It is about trusting God, living with integrity, and keeping your heart aligned with His Word. It means choosing faith over fear, obedience over guessing, and preparation over panic.

When that day comes, it will not matter who was right about the timing. It will only matter who was ready.

So be cautious of anyone who claims to know what Scripture says is unknowable. Stay watchful, stay faithful, and stay grounded in the truth that God’s timing belongs to Him alone.

🙏 Prayer (Guided by ACTS)

When you’re not sure how to pray, A.C.T.S. gives you a simple path to follow: Adore, Confess, Thank, and Ask.

Adoration: God, You are wise and sovereign. You hold all time in your hands, and nothing happens outside Your plan.

Confession: Forgive me for trying to control what only You know. Teach me to trust Your timing and rest in Your will.

Thanksgiving: Thank you for Your Word that brings peace when the world spreads fear.

Supplication: Help me stay ready, grounded in truth, and confident in Your promises until the day You return.

In Jesus name, Amen
