📖 Verse Of The Day

🧠 Devotion

Letting go is not easy. Most of us like to feel in control. We want things to go our way and to make sure nothing falls apart. But the Bible teaches that peace comes when we stop trying to do God’s job and start trusting Him with our lives.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” That means we should trust God completely, even when we do not understand what is happening. When you put everything in His hands, He promises to guide you in the right direction.

Trying to control everything only leads to stress. Jesus knew that worry would be one of our biggest struggles. That is why He said in Matthew 6:34, “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” When you try to manage tomorrow, you lose the peace God offers today.

Letting go does not mean giving up. It means believing that God knows more than you do and that His plan is better than yours. In Isaiah 55:8-9, God says, “My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways.” Even when life feels uncertain, God’s plan is always good.

When you hold on to fear or control, it becomes a heavy weight. But when you give it to God, He replaces it with peace. Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Letting go is not weakness. It is an act of faith. It says, “God, I believe You can handle this better than I can.” It means choosing prayer instead of panic, trust instead of worry, and peace instead of pressure. When you let go, you make room for God to move.

You may not see the answer right away, but that does not mean God is not working. He is always moving, even in silence. Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.”

So today, give God what you cannot control. You were never meant to carry it alone. Let Him take the weight, because His shoulders are strong enough. When you let go, you find peace. When you trust Him, you see His faithfulness.

Let go, and let God lead the way.

🙏 Prayer (Guided by ACTS)

When you’re not sure how to pray, A.C.T.S. gives you a simple path to follow: Adore, Confess, Thank, and Ask.

Adoration: God, You are all-powerful and full of wisdom. You hold everything together, and nothing is too hard for you.

Confession: I admit that I try to stay in control and carry things You never asked me to.

Thanksgiving: Thank you for loving me, guiding me, and working all things for good even when I cannot see it.

Supplication: Help me to let go of my worries and rest in Your peace. Teach me to trust you more each day.

In Jesus name, Amen
