Good Morning. Did you know that Job was the first book to be written in the Bible? And even then, it was already foreshadowing Jesus.
đź“– Verse Of The Day
“If only there were someone to mediate between us, someone to bring us together, someone to remove God’s rod so that his terror will frighten me no more.”
— Job 9:33-34

🧠Devotion
The book of Job is believed to be the very first book of the Bible ever written. That means before Genesis told us about creation, before Moses wrote the Ten Commandments, Job’s story was already being told. And what is it about? Pain, faith, and the hope of a Savior.
Job was a man who loved God, but in a short time he lost everything. He lost his family, his money, and even his health. His friends told him it must be his fault, but Job knew he had not done anything wrong. In the middle of his pain, Job cried out these words:
“If only there were someone to mediate between us, someone to bring us together, someone to remove God’s rod from me, so that his terror would frighten me no more.” (Job 9:33–34)
Job felt the distance between himself and God. He wished there was someone who could stand in the middle and bring peace. What Job longed for is exactly what God gave us in Jesus.
The Bible later says in 1 Timothy 2:5: “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.”
Job’s cry was a foreshadowing of Jesus. Job suffered even though he was innocent. Jesus was perfectly innocent, yet He suffered even more when He died on the cross for our sins. Job hoped for a mediator, and Jesus became that mediator for all of us.
From the very beginning, God was showing us the same message. Life can be painful and confusing, but our hope is not in having every answer. Our hope is in Jesus, the Redeemer Job longed for, the One who stands between us and God, and the One who makes us right with Him.

🙏 Prayer (Guided by ACTS)
When you’re not sure how to pray, A.C.T.S. gives you a simple path to follow: Adore, Confess, Thank, and Ask.
Adoration: God, I praise you because Job longed for a mediator, and you sent us Jesus.
Confession: God, forgive me for acting ungrateful, for even in my trials, I have Jesus as my mediator.
Thanksgiving: Thank you for all of my blessings. Thank you for sending your one and only son to die on the cross for MY sins.
Supplication: God make me patient and faithful like Job, waiting on Your plan and trusting Your timing.
In Jesus name, Amen
