📖 Verse Of The Day

🧠 Devotion
It is a phrase many people know and say often. You see it on shirts, hear it in songs, and read it online. It has become one of the most common Christian statements in the world. But behind those three words is a truth far deeper than a slogan.
When Scripture calls Jesus King, it is not using a figure of speech. It is declaring that He truly reigns over everything. His authority is not future or symbolic. It is real right now. In Matthew 28:18, Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” That means every part of creation falls under His rule. Nothing exists outside of His command.
Calling Jesus King means more than believing He exists. It means living as though His authority shapes every choice we make. His word must matter more than our opinions. His truth must outweigh culture. His will must come before comfort.
Philippians 2:9–11 says, “God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord.” One day, everyone will see His authority. But believers are called to live that way now.
When Jesus stood before Pilate, He said, “My kingdom is not of this world” (John 18:36). His kingdom is not built on power or politics but on truth and love. He does not rule through fear or force but through grace.
Living as if Jesus is King means surrendering control. It means obeying when it is hard, trusting when it does not make sense, and believing that His leadership is better than our own. He does not need our permission to rule. He already reigns. The real question is whether we live like that is true.
Because when you finally let Him lead, you do not lose your freedom. You find it. You begin to live under the rule of the One who knows exactly what to do with your life.

🙏 Prayer (Guided by ACTS)
When you’re not sure how to pray, A.C.T.S. gives you a simple path to follow: Adore, Confess, Thank, and Ask.
Adoration: Jesus, You are the King of all creation. Your power, wisdom, and love never fails.
Confession: Forgive me for the times I have said You are King but lived like I am. Help me to trust Your authority fully.
Thanksgiving: Thank you for ruling with grace and patience. Thank you that Your leadership brings peace, not fear.
Supplication: Teach me to live with You truly on the throne of my heart. Help me obey Your word, follow Your ways and honor You in all I do.
In Jesus name, Amen
