📖 Verse Of The Day

🧠 Devotion
Everything around you changes. People come and go. Plans fall apart. Emotions rise and fade. Life moves fast, and almost nothing stays the same for long. But one truth always stands firm: God never changes.
When the Bible says this, it does not mean God is frozen or unable to respond. It means His character never changes. Who He is — His love, His goodness, His justice, and His mercy — stays perfectly consistent.
Malachi 3:6 says, “I the Lord do not change.” That means the same God who spoke the world into being is the same God who listens to your prayers today. His heart, His holiness, and His faithfulness are steady. He doesn’t have good days and bad days. He doesn’t grow tired of being gracious.
Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Jesus is the perfect picture of God’s unchanging nature. The same Jesus who healed, forgave, and cared for people two thousand years ago still does that now. His love has not weakened with time. His compassion has not worn out.
Sometimes people read the Bible and wonder, “But didn’t God change His mind?” In stories like Jonah or Moses, God shows mercy after people repent. That isn’t a change in His nature — it’s a display of His consistent mercy. God has always forgiven the humble and opposed the proud. He responds to us, but always in line with His same unchanging goodness.
That is good news. Because if God could change in His character, you could never be sure of Him. He might love you one day and reject you the next. His promises might expire. His standards might shift with the culture. But because He never changes, His love is secure, His promises are reliable, and His Word will always be true.
James 1:17 says, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” The world moves like shadows, but God is steady like the light itself.
When life feels unstable, God’s unchanging nature gives you something solid to stand on. His love for you will not wear out. His mercy will not run out. His Word will not fade away. What He said then, He still means now.
You can trust Him completely because He is never unpredictable, never inconsistent, and never unfaithful.
So when everything around you changes — when people fail, when emotions shift, when life feels uncertain — remember this: God’s heart toward you has not changed.
He was faithful yesterday. He is faithful today. And He will be faithful forever.

🙏 Prayer (Guided by ACTS)
When you’re not sure how to pray, A.C.T.S. gives you a simple path to follow: Adore, Confess, Thank, and Ask.
Adoration: God, You are steady and faithful. You never change, and I can always trust You.
Confession: I sometimes forget that You stay the same and let me worries take over. Please forgive me.
Thanksgiving: Thank you for being consistent and that Your love and promise never fade.
Supplication: Help me to trust Your unchanging heart when everything else changes.
In Jesus name, Amen
