📖 Verse Of The Day

🧠 Devotion

You’re driving home after a long day when a song comes on the radio. It’s not a worship song, but something about it hits you. Maybe it’s the words. Maybe it’s the timing. For a second, you stop thinking about your to-do list and just feel something real. You weren’t looking for God, but maybe He was looking for you.

That’s the thing about God—He doesn’t stay inside church walls. He shows up in places we don’t expect. A song lyric. A movie scene. A friend’s text that comes at the exact right time. Sometimes He speaks in ways that don’t sound “religious” at all, but somehow, you still know it’s Him.

Romans 1:20 says, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made.” Everything around us points back to Him. The sound of rain. The way light hits a window. Even the ache of wanting more from life. It’s all evidence that we were made by someone greater.

The Bible is full of people who met God in ordinary moments. Moses wasn’t praying on a mountain—he was watching sheep when he saw the burning bush. Joseph wasn’t in a temple—he was in a prison, waiting on God to make sense of his pain. David met God in quiet fields. Paul found Him on a dusty road. Elijah heard Him in a whisper, not a storm.

God doesn’t need perfection or ceremony to speak. He just needs your attention.

He might use something small today. Maybe a line in a movie that hits a nerve. Maybe a random memory that surfaces for a reason. Maybe just a moment of silence when everything slows down, and you finally realize He’s been there the whole time.

The problem is, most of us never slow down long enough to notice. We fill every second with noise. But when we make space—even a little bit—God has a way of showing up in it.

So try this today: pay attention. To the small stuff. To what moves you. To what makes you stop for a second. It might be God getting your attention, quietly reminding you that you’re not alone.

He’s always speaking. You don’t have to go looking for a sign or a sermon. Just live your day—and keep your eyes open. You might find God in places you never thought to look.

🙏 Prayer (Guided by ACTS)

When you’re not sure how to pray, A.C.T.S. gives you a simple path to follow: Adore, Confess, Thank, and Ask.

Adoration: God, You’re always near, present in every moment, every place, every breath.

Confession: Forgive me for rushing through life and missing You in the small things.

Thanksgiving: Thank you for the quiet reminders that You’re with me, even when I’m not looking.

Supplication: Help me to slow down and notice You today — in non worship songs, in people, and in the ordinary moments.

In Jesus name, Amen

This artist doesn’t typically sing/rap about his faith, but he did here. This is proof that a movement is going on in the music industry… Check it out!
